I have to do some flying for work and I figured I'd try to fly using a carrier whose miles I could transfer into AGR miles. Can anyone give me any pointers on which airlines miles can be transferred at 1:1 ratio?

None.

That's kind of what I thought, but I figured I'd ask... I thought maybe there was a way to go through a middle man at 1:1:1, but from what I can tell, ever since Continental went under there aren't any airline miles that transfer.

Correct, there is now no way to transfer airline miles to AGR or vice versa with the Continental/United merger.

You can transfer spg points on a 1:1 basis with amtrak, though. Not sure if that helps.

However, you can't transfer AGR points to SPG on a 1:1 basis. Instead you have to buy vouchers for free nights at starwood properties with your AGR points and the redemption rates are terrible.

Today's email brings what appears to be a 100% bonus offer on transfers from SPG to AGR, or a poorly worded description of the standard transfer feature:

As a member of the Starwood Preferred GuestŪ program, turn your Starpoints into free AmtrakŪ travel. Transfer today in increments of 5,000 Starpoints and get one Amtrak Guest RewardsŪ bonus point for every Starpoint you convert. . Please allow 4 – 6 weeks for points to post to your account.

Certain versions of Chase Ultimate Rewards and the USA version of Diners Club Rewards also transfer to AGR.
