Hi all,
The Mrs and I are looking on using our newly earned points for a stay in London in Spring of 2013. We would be doing the tourist thing. What hotel preferences do people have? The Plaza on the River seems to get very good reviews but I have heard the Mayfair mentioned many times as well and I think has better location? Thanks!:)

I have stayed numerous times at Park Plaza Riverbank (attached to Plaza on the River). Whilst its close to Westminster etc there's not a lot of places to eat close by at night. Park Plaza Westminster Bridge is a much better location, near the Eye, and lots going on. I haven't stayed at Mayfair, but this seems to be the best value rack rate vs points.

A client of mine speaks very highly of the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge - http://www.parkplaza.com/london-hotel-gb-se1-7ut/gbwestmi - I haven't stayed there myself but he tells me the service levels are fantastic, and the location is obviously great.
