Qantas Frequent Flyer - Overnight connection QF-JL (Dom - Int) baggage?

I think I know the answer (which I think is "no"), but does anyone know if it is possible to have the baggage checked through on a QF domestic to connect to a JL flight that departs the next day (under 24 hours)? Separate tickets, domestic leg is whY, international leg is J, the passenger is OWE although I doubt this would make any difference.

Any advice would be gratefully received.
