KLM Flying Dutchman - KLM service

Just flew KLM on JFK-AMS-DXB leg. I am quite shocked at the level of service they provide or don't. The crew appears to congregate together and laugh and chat loudly in the galley. I even saw some crew "throw" things back and forth to pass. To add icing to the cake, the Captain would come back and join.
Anyone else experience this?
seen similar on qf....they do the minimum & retire til the next time they have to do a meal....

Anyone else experience this? No, my recent KLM flights were all good, bordering on excellent. None of the behavior you describe. Did run out of my meal choice though - 1st World problem :) .

I'm with Wally Bird - I think that's the exception rather than the rule. I generally find the service on KL to be good (and sometimes quite excellent).

I agree - I notice that on the way back from a 1 or 2-night stopover, the crew can be more cheerful and chatty with eachother because they apparently had a nice time together :)
