SAS EuroBonus - Special meals in Economy?

Next time I am flying intercontinental with SAS I am considering to order a special meal.
I am a big fish eater, but as SAS only offer one kind of meal in economy, I never get it.
I have had fish in Economy Extra, it was in fact quite nice and tasty, and thought it would might be the same dinner in economy, if you order it as a special meal.
Any thoughts, has anyone ordered special meals and was it better than the normal food served in economy?

Slightly off topic to your question but would just mention that I have had a good hit rate by asking after the fish from the EcoExtra servings when I was in M.

Is it even possible to order "fish" as a special meal  (As opposed to "vegetarian", "non-lactose", "kosher" etc.)
Wouldn't a special meal in your booking destroy any chance of an upgrade?
If there are any leftover fish meal from Eco Extra when the cart comes to you, you will get it if you ask for it.

SK offers SFML on longhaul, but I would advise against ordering such meals if you don't really need them, because:
- you create extra work and will probably be served the meal out of sequence, ie no drinks served with meal for example
- no op-upgrades for pax with spml
- the quality is certainly not better than the regular meal...

Ups, I forgot the "upgrade-problem", that is in fact, why I have never ordered it.
Next time I will just ask if there is any fish left from E+, but will I then get the tray from E+?, because today they are different from the tray in economy.
I remember some years ago, that the first rows in economy were asked if they wanted fish or....whatever. It was leftovers from E+, but at that time, if I remember correctly, the trays were the same.

They will just put the hot item on the regular E- tray.

I was in economy on SK flights from Copenhagen to Shanghai and return last month, and I had ordered a special meal (VGML). Not only were the meals served with a smile, but I was also offered something to drink at the same time ^ Also, not only the main meals were VGML, but also the pre-arrival meals + the mid flight snack. I was pleasantly surprised

I think the no op up is definitely the biggest drawback for ordering special meal. If you know that you don't get any chance to op up, then I'd go for special meals because I think the quality is better (I ususally order 1 SFML and Mr. Nacho has normal meal, so we can always compare). The salad is fresher, and the hot food is a bit better. However if you like dessert then special meal is not the way to go because I don't normally get a proper dessert on my SFML tray, sometimes there is no chocolate bar when the others all have one.
