It took me forever to get miles for my EgyptAir flights to KUL. I am a THY frequent flyer member. Communicating with THY through their sluggish e-mail service and in the end via post, I had a few problems getting my miles. After 2 some odd months, they arrived to my account. To my surprise, I was credited for all my flights as well as twice for the same segment KUL-CAI. The segment credited to my account twice was in booking class K (economy), so I should have gotten full mileage accrual and I did.
The segments listed are exactly the same except for different dates.. The reason for this double credit may be because I changed my ticket, so my return date in my e-mail itinerary differs from the return date of my actual physical boarding stub. Using both of those (by accident) THY credited me for both.
is this a new sort of bug to get double miles?
any similar experiences?
