If I "buy" a business class ticket with miles from FRA to ANC via SEA what happens on the inner US segment if the flight only offers eco and first? Will I find myself in eco on the segment SEA to ANC or in this US first???

Provided there is space, you should be in F. The middle columns of the award availability specify Business or BF in three cabin and First in two cabin.

This is where I am not sure because my miles are LH Miles and they only specify Eco, Business or First.

Then you should probably ask at LH forum, but I think on most programs you'll get the higher class on two-cabin segments on Biz awards.

This is not correct. Many carriers will charge more if the seat is released as a higher cabin.

CO releases domestic First seats as Business for award availability (I). It should price as a Business award.

What did LH say when you called to ask? Isn't that the starting point.

Generally speaking on USA domestic flights, intl. F & J, book into domestic F.

The reason I asked here was because I thought I had recently seen a thread where the person was saying they had booked international business but had ended up in eco for the internal flight on the same PRN... I pressume that this was probably an exception since many of you seem to wonder why I am asking....

There was just a case in the M&M Newbie thread, because apparently US releases domestic as F (O), whereas UA releases it as C (I)
