The website for CHS gives an approximate taxi fare of $43. Anyone think this is accurate and/or know of a reliable shuttle service?

It's about 20 miles, under $50 would definitely be reasonable in my book...just wondering if anyone can confirm the estimate on the airport website as being accurate!

We hired a higher-end shuttle service from our home in West Ashley, which is considerably closer to the airport than Isle of Palms and paid a base rate of $45. We did this to guarantee the availability of a child seat. So I would say, yes, $43 seems quite reasonable.

I can now report that the fare from CHS to 10th and Ocean on Isle of Palms was exactly $45. This was Saturday late afternoon without any kind of traffic to speak of, but indeed a square deal in my book.
