Virgin Australia Velocity - How to calculate status/points earn on airline partners?

I understand that when flying on VA you calculate points based on origin to destination regardless of how many sectors you actually fly on.
I've been browsing the T&Cs to see if this applies to partner airlines, but I can't find anything definitive. For example, if I purchased an eligible fare class on NZ or VX from point A to C, but has a stopover at point B how are points/status calculated. Would appreciate anyone who has experience with this.
Cheers.

Didn't apply in my case. I flew SYD-LAX-LAS-LAX-SYD and got separate miles & status credits for each sector. Mind you the LAX-LAS-LAX sectors, even though booked on the Virgin website were on Delta.

As a general rule: Domestic and short haul international (DJ code) it's origin to destination. International long haul (VA code) and partners (EY, DL, NZ, SQ) it's by sector.

How about Domestic NZ on eligible fares?
Say for example a journey from DUD-AKL that stops at CHC.
Cheers.

If its a single flight number you'll get the SC's and points for DUD-AK directL, if it's 2 different flights you'll get the credit for each individual sector.
