ELAL have started some special Facebook campaign offering daily gestures/presents to their members...

Anyway, first present was given out today and is breakfast at Benedict.

Now, I am the last person in the world that would force religion or anything associated with it on anyone else (live and let live I say) but I find it a little odd that you have chosen a chain of restaurants that are practically the definition of none kosher (Benedict's menu includes delicacies like shrimps, bacon etc) when such a large number of your customer are likely to be kosher, and may find it a little offensive.

Why not make sure that if you're already offering gestures that are totally unrelated to the airline, they are suited to all your customers?

That's really strange. One of LY's points is they are Kosher. Another is that "EL AL is Israel." Granted, Israel is a secular state. But when anything is done officially, it's done Orthodox Kosher. Weird

Always curious why Israelis always include an s at the end of shrimp.

You could have a salad topped with shrimp, or linguine with sauteed shrimp, but there's no S at the end of it.
rak b' yisrael.

(and I find them gross, so I don't eat shrimp or shrimps)

Always curious why Israelis always include an s at the end of shrimp.Perhaps because grammatically there is nothing wrong with it?

True, Shrimp is usually used to described the plural of Shrimp as well, but not always, for instance you would not say "there are 25 Shrimp on the plate" but "there are 25 Shrimps on the plate"...

Actually no, they use the word ShrimpS a lot in the UK as well (well that's when they don't refer to them as prawns...).

Oh and by the way, my English is most definetly not Israeli! ;)

In some forms of English, "shrimp" is what would be called a "mass noun" (can also be called "uncountable"), just like "mice." I would most definitely say, "There are 25 shrimp on the plate." and never say, "I saw 25 mices in the field today."

Usage will differ between dialects and language variants, so it is not surprising that some English speakers will use "shrimps" as the plural form.

I pity them if they would!
