Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - OS: Same aircraft turnaround in TSE

Hi all,

Is it possible to do a same-aircraft turnaround on OS flying VIE-TSE-VIE? It's only 1hr on the ground in TSE, but does one have time to pull it off?

Not sure. The airport is fairly small and modern, but I don't think I've seen any facilities for international to international transfer. All arriving pax are directed to immigration. While immigration is usually not a huge issue, most nationalities need a visum, which has to be obtained at an embassy (no visa on arrival).

But I wonder whether this route is really a good option, also from a comfort point of view, as VIE-TSE is a red eye flight on a 737 or 320 with short haul configuration, i.e. in C just the middle seat left empty and in both classes no IFE. I find these flights (6hrs each way!) very uncomfortable, despite the great OS crew.

PS: There's no Kazakh embassy in Australia. The OP who's based in SYD would have to obtain the visa in SIN (or any other embassy, which are mainly Europe)

Isnt the OP is passing thru SE Asia on the way to RGN?

Yeah I should find one of LH's A330 flights to either ALA to TSE, but award space is scarce on those. Even having said that, I would take OS' euro-biz on the A319 each way if it means slashing award costs by such a percentage.

But just to clarify, there is no TWOV in TSE (or ALA for that matter)?
