I was offered to fly 1/2/4 trips to receive up to 25000 bonus miles. I have done two trips and received 15000 miles. I have a business trip as the third trip in 2 weeks.

I don't have any business trips planned in next 2 months. If I want to get the last 10000 bonus miles, I have to pay from my own pocket for the 4th round trip.

How much is the maximum you would pay in order to get the 10K bonus miles? I am in SF area. The lowest SFO-LAX same day round trip is $178. Would the airfare justify the bonus miles?

I am non-elite. I will get 674 miles (337x2) from flying R/T and 10000 bonus miles. The math is $178/10674=0.0167 per mile. Is this a good deal?

that's a decent return if you have the time to kill and want to go to LA, but I rarely find miles alone justify a trip. to make it a better value, take a trip you'd enjoy- visit friends/family/place you've wanted to. then the miles are just gravy on top of a worthwhile visit.

or look for a better MR or more convoluted routing. Cheapest/shortest may satisfy the conditions of your promo and fit easily within your schedule, but at close to 25cpm, there are better CPM MR out of SFO than your suggested itin.

is there any chance you will get close to elite this year?, if so, it might tilt you toward the mr....the c/rdm is less than buying them....only your crystal ball will work..

however, if you need the rdm, the pqm are free...
