Air France Frequence Plus - Has anyone experienced the new 380 service CDG-LAX?

Wondering how it is.... especially in Affaires.

It seems to be departing and arriving close to schedule despite the increase of passengers to get on board.

Flew the A380 last year in Affaires when it was on the CDG-SFO route - loved the plane, no delays in SFO due to the size of the plane (though boarding in SFO was less organized than usual due to the increased number of pax).

To be honest, if you do a simple search you'll find lots of threads on this (on every aspect including plane, seats, seat choices, what is and what is not different from the other planes, etc)

Good point....The question was specific to the CDG-LAX run which just started a few days ago so while I am aware of the many 380 threads... I don't think one addresses this particular route.

Just a few threads below your thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-france-frequence-plus/1351048-new-la-premiere-seat-newest-a380.html

For AF, flights over 10h30 are considered 'extra long', so if you compare to a JFK flight, instead of a hot meal and a snack westbound, you get two full hot meals, and Eastbound, instead of a hot dinner and a continental breakfast, you get a hot dinner and a hot breakfast. Basically the experience is the same as what you get on A380 flights on CDG-SFO, CDG-JNB and CDG-NRT (except for the Japanese menus) so all threads on those could be useful. You may also be interested in (but depressed by) threads on the LAX airport experience including rubbish lounge. Note that if you decide to break the bank on the ticket (and in my view waste your money) on a First Class ticket instead of business, you do get to use the Air NZ lounge which is much nicer. But considering the outrageous prices AF charges in P, I would personally never consider it.

the LAX airport experience including rubbish lounge.
The Air France A380 Flight from Los Angeles leaves from Tom Bradley International Terminal, so I think you can use the Korean Air Lounge.^

I used the KE lounge recently at TBIT and didn't think it was all that special. It's not as good as the BA lounge at TBIT or instance. No point in showing up early at LAX.

First class pax departing LAX to CDG may use the NZ lounge!
