Are we more angry??
Passengers are tired of long lines, baggage fees and last-minute delays. Airline employees and flight attendants could do without the cranky travelers who refuse to wait patiently, turn off cell phones or stay in their seats.
Sometimes that frustration escalates into "air rage" incidents that still disturb the friendly skies post-September 11. Reported instances of unruly passengers rose internationally about 29% between 2009 and 2010, following an estimated 27% rise between 2008 and 2009, according to the International Air Transport Association, which represents about 240 airlines worldwide.

Not more angry, just fed up with the accumulation of airlines, TSA, people, etc

Yep, immigration at LHR has become world-famous now for its horror.
My luck is awful, I'm not EC and despite flying in First or Business (hence off the plane early) I always end up in line right after a (very full) plane from Lagos or Nairobi. They should give us all motorised wheelchairs.

It definitely affects the timing of the flights I choose, as well as carrier!!

........the article supports the higher percentages. Technology has caused the public to expect services in an instant. We're rushed all day. Get in line at the grocery store and hear the comments if someone has to wait for more then 10 minutes. The deep sighs. The complaining. Guess what? OTHER PEOPLE exist. so, yes. Anger is just under the surface for MANY PEOPLE, a small inconvenience in the day can and will BRING IT OUT. It happens everywhere.

Yeah but as others have noted, a smartphone is a godsend in such a situation. When confronted with an unavoidable wait, I simply take it out and read the news or anything else online. Even FT http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i251/benzomatic/Emoticons/icon_smile_tongue.gif
I read the news (and FT) anyway so it's no longer 'time lost'.
People do not have patience anymore. I suspect that slave-like-employment everywhere is the root cause of this all.
