Mileage Run Deals - DL: SAN-ICT $192 ai (3.6CPM various summer dates. Same day turns)

Select dates in Aug, Sept. I used matrix and found Aug 24 red eye for $227 where return was via MSP. I changed it to ATL and found a lower price of $191.20

Looks like UA matched in August and September - can route thru LAX and IAH both directions for just over 4800 miles (with 500mi minimums), comes out to 4.1 cpm.

Delta loaded more dates since yesterday. You have to "Search by Schedule" to get the low fare or immediate turnarounds in ICT. "Search by Price" gets you different flights with higher fare.

I opted for the less worthy UA routing CLD-LAX-IAH-ICT-DEN-LAX-CLD. $198 same day turn on a Saturday in September for 4283 PQM with elite minimums. $5 a day parking @ CLD sweetens it.

I swore off MRs, but was looking at 4076 short for PG, so it works for me.

Thinking about doing the same dates in Sept. Just need to get to SAN for cheap ;)

ICT is worth visiting for a day; the trouble is that there's no cheap public bus between the airport and downtown. That's why FT'ers go for an immediate airport turnaround. An airport like PHL, with easy transit options, is a different story.

I posted a new thread just a minute ago. NYC to SAN to ICT. no overnights but 36 hours total flight time. $565 ai, 10.4K mqms Sept 7 to 9th.

I hopped on the MR from SAN to ICT, DL, 9-7 rt 9-8.

edit - ended up adding an extra segment and miles as you said. But one of my legs got a really close connection.
