Aegean Airlines Miles&Bonus - A3 Status Match

Any recent experiences by FTers getting status matches from either *A or OW? I searched but only found some posts with no specific info.

I just got my BMI Diamond club *A Silver matched to Aegean Blue which is *A Silver.

I sent an email to miles_bonus@aegeanair.com
with a scan of my card and a PDF print out of my Account mileage statement from the BMI website.

A3 don't generally status match, but do seem to be matching to BMI members at the moment due to BMI leaving Star Alliance, and did match to Spanair members after that airline's collapse.
