I am trying to register on this website and I keep getting this error message:
Address.CountryCode is invalid. The value's length must be at least -1 characters and no longer than 2 characters.
There is no place to put a " country code" on the form.
Has anyone successfully registered and opened an IDTGV ( high speed train) account?
The website to try:
http://ventes.idtgv.com/Register.aspx
Yes, I went to their site, and entered all the info, except, I left my cell phone number blank. Right after registering, I was sent to http://ventes.idtgv.com/Search.aspx, and I am greeted by my first name.
PS: I use google chrome as my browser, and it filled in (automatically) most of the form.
Follow-up, I just received a confirming email from "them", that my account has been created, and it assigned an account number.

I did exactly as you did and I still get this message:
Address.CountryCode is invalid. The value's length must be at least -1 characters and no longer than 2 characters.
What is a country code? and where does it go on this form?
Only the fields with asterisks are required. Try leaving the address and phone fields blank.

FWIW...there is something off with the English version of the website. When I registered in " french" it went right through.

You can also book train in France here:
http://www.raileurope-world.com/?cmpid=PA020566
but I have found that fares are sometimes cheaper here:
http://www.voyages-sncf.com/
Wile the latter is in French, it's pretty easy to see what's what.

Rail Europe is the US version of the booking engine for train tickets. They are quite a bit more expensive than booking direct from the other site you mentioned....which has an English version....just scroll to the bottom and hit the British flag. When you do book on the sncf website always say you are from Antarctica...not the US ..otherwise they will forward you back to the Rail Europe website sometime during the purchasing part.
Why not just book on sncf-voyages instead of IDTGV's website?

The IDTGV website let's you choose specific seats instead of randomly being assigned.

So does the sncf-voyages site when booking an iDTGV. Or at least it did the last time I booked one.

It does not anymore.... it allows you to choose the " atmosphere" ( calm or noisy coach) but indicates that "placement" will be indicated after payment.
With this site the seats are shown on a seating map and you have the ability to change not only your seat but coach before paying:

^^ I've been looking for a way to do this for years. Merci!!
