Hi,
Can anyone suggest deals for hotels in Bangkok around 12 Aug? Be most appreciated. Looking for a double with ABF
Seems that Accor have a sale starting 12th June which could save 40-50% on a variety of Bangkok hotels, good for all of August as well. Might be worth hanging on until then.

Dave,
Nothing available for my dates 11/12 but thanks.
Like me, you seem to be interested in a good deal. I would consider this a good deal:
http://tinyurl.com/6rjftug
Aloft Sukhumvit 11 - THB 1,811 nett per night.
Failing that, the Accor super sale is worth holding out for.

I'd wait on the Accor sale IIWY. The Fourpoints is 3000 points on weekends or 1400 and $30 C&P. This place: http://www.goldentulip.com/EN/hotels/Thailand/Bangkok/GT-mandison-suites-bangkok-hotel-booking-room.aspx is done to a very high standard for $60 all in (Agoda). Deep down Soi 20 though. Just keep checking Hotels Combined and Latestays and you'll snag a nugget. I really like Adelphi Grande on 41 too. Great rooms, great pool, quiet Soi, yet close to Phrom Phong. It can be had for less than 2000B on sale. wj

Just stayed at the Aloft and the Four Points Sheraton in BKK.
I liked the Four Points a little better. Aloft is a little to hipster for me--and a lot futher walk from Sukumvit, maybe 300 meters down Soi 11. And the touted free tuk tuk was not always available. The pools are essentially the same design. 1.4 meters deep throughout. Not quite big enough to my mind for serious lap swimming but otherwise fine.
Keep in mind that there are plenty of non-name hotels around Sukumvit where you can get a decent room for around 1000 baht a night. So, no need to get antsy as you will always find something.
Caide that looks interesting. Tnx

That Anantara Riverside rate is decent. Where can I find it?

How annoying!
I received an email from the hotel with the details. However, it is also advertised on the properties Facebook page.
If you navigate to the Special Offers on the Aloft Bangkok web site, you will come across this:
http://deals.alofthotels.com/Aloft-Bangkok-3211/so.htm?IM=PP_LHN_SOP_US_AL_3211
The first offer you will see is the 5 day 50% off sale. This is the offer for the THB 1,811 nett rate.
Enjoy!

That's a fine deal for the Aloft. I enjoyed my stay there right after it opened even though construction was still going on. Basically US$60 per night is a bargain in my opinion. But I do agree the walk is a bit to get to the BTS. When I was there they were falling all over themselves to give me a tuktuk ride.
