InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - Is a daily newspaper an Ambassador benefit or not?

I like to have a newspaper at my door when I wake up and this is a benefit listed on the Ambassador website:

What are the benefits of InterContinental Ambassador status?
InterContinental Ambassador status holders are entitled to higher levels of recognition valid only at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. Members will receive the following benefits at InterContinental brand hotels:

▪ Upgrade to a superior room
▪ Priority waitlist reservations
▪ Late checkout until 4:00 pm
▪ Instant check-in
▪ Instant checkout
▪ Complimentary Weekend Night Certificate upon enrollment and renewal
▪ Fresh fruit and mineral water upon arrival
▪ VIP greeting and in-room welcome gift
▪ One free pay TV movie per stay (where available)
▪ Complimentary standard newspaper delivered to members' room every day
▪ Airport chauffeur service (at published rate)

But I've recently spent a bunch of nights at the IC Tampa and I have never gotten a paper, nor have I ever seen any doors with papers. In fact the Ambassador card on the desk in their rooms lists most of the benefits, but not this one. Do individual hotels get to choose to ignore certain benefits?

Some go the full mile and deliver a printed version of your "home" newspaper via an internet distributor. This is expensive for the hotel, so is becoming rare (or at an additional charge).

Some give you a local newspaper, usually in English as the default foreign language.

Others hang the IHT in a bag on your door.

Some simply don't bother, but should be able to deliver if you ask. At your hotel this could well be something like the Tampa Gleaner
