It is frequently discussed on the LH lounge the usage of UA GPU certs to upgrade on LH, is this same benefit available on LX? I relocated recently to Geneva and am through Zurich quite often now to the US and South America and have quite enjoyed the Swiss airline, but I still have some GPU's to burn as I shift to M&M and AA for my travel now (thanks AA for the EXP) and want to know if I can use them for C-->F in LX...
Thanks to anyone who can answer...
I don't believe so even though they have common ownership they function as separate airlines.

If a UA "GPU" is the same as a UA "SWU", then the answer for LX is no. I believe it is (or was?) possible to upgrade on LX using UA miles and the Star Alliance Upgrade functionality.

Ok, thanks to you both. I thought as much but wanted to know if anyone had any other knowledge regarding. You can indeed upgrade and redeem miles....
