Hyatt Gold Passport - Mechanics of Status Changes???

Assume that one's status will change (up or down) March 1st. Will reservations booked prior March 1st appear, by default, to the hotel or resort to have the old status?

I really don't know the exact rule but here's what happened to me. Last year, I was Diamond and went down to Platinum in March. I had an April stay booked prior to the change and upon check in was treated as Diamond as the reservation reflected that.

There is a time lag going up. If there is enough time to get your new card; presenting it on checkin should take care of it. Otherwise I would call back, AND take a copy of my account printout to show the hotel.
