I'm an Elite Plus M&S member and is it just me or do other e+ get better service and recognition on *A member carries? I flew OZ few weeks ago and the cabin crew greeted me by name and catered for my every need. I never get this kind of service from TK. If TK doesn't appreciate my frequent travels on their metal...I can attain Diamond at OZ in a matter of months. At TK, e+ do not really get much recognition except for emails from the marketing staff in charge of our account. Why stay with M&S? At OZ the cabin attendant fluffed my pillow!:D;)^:p:-: She won me over then and there!

Then fly another airline and use another program then. If OZ suits your route needs.......CX is my favorite airline and i fly them a few times a year as they do not really suit me 95% of the time.

Each airline have their own inflight services. On SQ, they will tuck you in with a blanket whether in business or economy. On All Nippon Airways, they will bow to you.

On TK, they feel that they've done their job by serving you.

It really has nothing to do with being E or E+. But rather just being a passenger on an airline.

Exactly what Guy Betsy said.

TK does not offer any special service or recognition for their elites onboard their own metal, and to other *A carriers there is really no difference between E and E+ (both are *G).

So to answer your question, if you are mainly looking for recognition E+ is not worth it. There are some other perks though, free upgrades, family account and gifting E-cards that makes it valuable to some fliers.
But if you dislike TK style and easily can reach elite status with another airline that you like, then it is a no brainer what to do, right?
