well, BD as a ticketing carrier needs to stay for at least 2 years and BA will take liability most likely. Indeed, one could issue now on BD stock a ticket with departure on 29MAY2013 with a return that could be changed until 29MAY2014. However, I believe that BA will at some point assume liability on all BD tickets that are not fully flown and reissue them on BA number. The problem is not how long can we make changes (especially in case of irrops), the problem is that the carriers need to accept BD tickets => they need to be sure they will get paid.

Ive got my round the world honeymoon started Oct 6th with UA and then finish on 16th Jan with TK.....in that time we have 12 different airlines, all on 1 way's....God forbid if something happens....but then again, we'll just ring BA right??? yeah??? :p
