Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - AMEX Membership Award US now convertable to AM

IIRC many US members here want to have a US-based card that earns AM. Even though a while ago HSBC Premier became a possibility, some thought the qualification was too high. However, according to http://www.asiamiles.com/am/en/about/news/detail?refID=0c454d7d9d187310VgnVCM62000007d21c39R CRD, AMEX Membership Award in the US can now be converted to AM. Hopefully this gives some members another choice.

There's really nothing to "sign up" for. If you have an Amex card with Membership Rewards, you simply login to Americanexpress.com and add your AsiaMiles account number to your transfer partners list.

You got it. Did this the other day as I am trying to get from HKG to HKT on miles and was looking to transfer AMEX points.

I had no idea it was a new benefit.
