A pilot has escaped unharmed from a light aircraft crash near Swansea Airport.
The two-seater plane came down just moments after take-off from the Gower airfield, and the 51-year-old pilot managed to escape before the aircraft burst into flames.
Paramedics from the Wales Air Ambulance Service were on the scene within minutes, and fire crew from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service arrived to put out the wreckage.
Swansea Airport control tower confirmed a light aircraft had come down just outside the perimeter of the airfield.
