I have a 9 hour layover in ICN, flying BKK-ICN-SFO in KE Business class.

Does KE provide a hotel room as OZ does on long layovers? If so, is the procedure as straightforward as OZ? Just go to the transit desk with my BP?

I can't find anything on the KE website or TripAdvisor, and I scrolled back through this forum to no avail.

I attempted a search, but my search function for this forum isn't working. I click on the button, and nothing happens. A search of the entire site is not really any help, I see nothing in the results specific to KE and ICN layover policy. It mostly brings up OZ results.

I've always requested and received the STPC voucher prior to arrival. I think I read somewhere you have to have this in advance. The STPC desk at ICN is in the arrivals area to the far left after leaving customs, adjacent to the korean Air info desk.. The hotel for Prestige is the Hyatt. Besides the room, you receive meal vouchers.

Google 'ke stpc'
Call the # at the bottom for TAs and you can request it.
It's worked for me.
Some fare classes aren't eligible, though.
(IIRC they are Q, T fares.)

You will need to call them if you have booked on your own accord or get your agent to do it for you.

I've usually been put up in the Grand Hyatt, with dinner and breakfast, of course depending on where you are coming from.

I have a 6 hour, 40 minute layover, flying paid C.

For such a layover (under 9 hours), KE told me they could extend me lounge access.
Gee, thanks - I already get it with my C class ticket...

Also, if I wanted, they could arrange gym access at the Grand Hyatt Incheon.

I'm on the RGN jumbo and was told I am not eligible for STPC due to the low price of my ticket.
$254 all in. (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-discussion/1341617-gone-rgn-sfo-f-450-one-way-ai-other-n-america-cities-included-prices-vary.html)
The rep actually told me for the price I paid, I can buy my own hotel room if I want one.
I had to laugh...:)

I think they only give you a hotel voucher if you are flying Prestige or First Class

The gym at the Hyatt Incheon is actually quite nice. Huge pool to lounge at plus full, seperate men's and women's Korean saunas. Something I really enjoyed with my STPC.

If I travel on KE J (on award ticket from Delta) and have night layover at ICN, am I eligible for hotel room?

Award tickets arent eligible.

I have been provided a room when flying KE on a paid KE ticket. But when I was flying on paid Delta ticket, even though the flight was on KE metal, I was not eligible for the "free" room. I was tired so I hoped on the bus to the Hyatt, gave the clerk a credit card and went to sleep in relative luxury. I have never been provided a room on an award ticket.

I'd sleep in ICN. It's a relatively safe airport compared to ones in the US.
(I sometimes bring a pillow in a carry on)
Besides, I know how it is arriving in nighttime YVR time.

Does any paid Prestige or First Class ticket, apart from the RGN Jumbos, qualify for the free room at the Hyatt Incheon?

How long does the stop at Incheon need to be to qualify?

When I've had 7-9 hours connections between the BKK redeyes and the 3:00 pm A380 to LAX, I've just chilled out in the Prestige Lounge and found it fairly comfortable. The time even went by quicker than I thought it might.

12+ hours.
I would personally try and route via YVR to get the STPC.

I think you get a hotel voucher for stays longer than 9 hours.
