Korean Air Skypass - Using Korean Airline points on Air France

I believe that you can use your Korean Airline points (obtained from Chase Ultimate Rewards) to book travel on Air France.
I tried logging in to my new Skypass account and doing a reward booking for the following (just to see if it worked).
1) IAD-CDG (stop for 7 days)
2) CDG-MRU (stay for 7 days)
3) MRU-IAD (via CDG but with no stop)
I was told from an email from KAL that I could include a stopover on Air France.
Is that something you have to do on the phone and that's why I couldn't do it online? It failed at the CDG-MRU flight.
Flight # 2 is actually Air Maritius, codeshared by Air France. Does that make a difference?
Thanks!

I don't think you can book codeshares with partner programs. Codeshares are the second biggest travel scam and should be outlawed.:p

AF codeshares are one of the big exceptions when it comes to award redemption. They are generally given fixed space on each flight and thus have award inventory. I know these can be booked with DL, but no clue if KE will book them.

Note that, of the 9 weekly services on the CDG-MRU route, 6 are operated by Air Mauritius (daily except Tuesday) and 3 are operated by Air France (Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday).
AF services on the return MRU-CDG leg operate on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday only.
If you change your dates/days, you might be able to find the AF services.

I opened a KE account with the idea of possibly transfering miles from my Chase UR points, but I am having difficulty finding the way to check reward bookings at KE's website as you have done. All I see in the award booking section is a generic view seat availability screen that does not indicate how many miles is required. According to the partner chart, it should only take 80k miles to Europe from Hawaii in business, which would be a deal, but I can't figure out how to check that online. I think I read somewhere that you have to have the miles already in your account to book awards online. Did you transfer the UR points already or is there some other way to check an award booking online that shows the number of miles required?

@Irishguy28 - thanks for checking this. That should make a big difference. Like @Richard1148 said, how do you check this?
I thought I could log into my KE account and check flights from IAD-CDG-MRU-IAD, but I wasn't able to.
Thanks!

I am trying to find a way from LAX to CDG. AF has availability on the dates we need, but only only through ATL and JFK on the way back. Can I use Korean Airlines booking but then fly on Delta on the way to Atlanta and on the way back from JFK? It seems too easy to do this, but will it work? If so, can Korean Air book it?

No. I had to use additional KE miles to book DL segment or use another airline on a similar situation.

Are we allowed F and/or one way redemptions on Air France?

Only FlyingBlue Elite members can redeem for F on Air France, since those seats are only made available for award travel as flex awards, which only elites can book.
