Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - Sept 1, 2012 no AS 5 DCA-LAX service?

Seems fall schedules have been loaded and my DCA-LAX flight is missing, as is AS6 that day. :( Could route through SEA or maybe PDX, but would lose miles...wonder if this is just a drawdown for Labor Day in general.
Will wait to call until DCA-PDX fares are bookable so I have another option before I call...but I wanted my stop at INO :D

Try looking again.
I just checked both those flights on that day, and they both showed up fine and available for booking.

What I'm seeing now is that if you search ANC-DCA on 9/1 the LAX flight shows up, but it is on 9/2. An LAX-DCA search for 9/1 yields no N/S flight.

If you search flight schedules they appear but if you try to make a reservation for a flight that day they do not. They also do not appear searching AS flight availability that day using expertflyer.

Explains why EF shows daily service but can't book it. Have not called up to see if I'm still on that flight or if on a new one, as I'm keeping my options open with the schedule change message in the reservation. Odd either way.

It's not showing in the schedule on 9/1, but neither is flight #2 (the afternoon SEA-DCA). The turn for that flight (#1, 9/2, the morning DCA-SEA) also isn't in the schedule, so it looks like the omission is intentional. Weird...

I can get AS2 to come up when doing a reservation search on alaskaair.com but not on expertflyer. Whereas AS 1, 3, and 4 all show up on both.
So no one else is confused: the flights are missing a day, not forever after September 1.
The Saturday of Labor Day weekend would have weak demand in business-heavy markets. We shouldn't be surprised to see day of the week cancellations like this.
