There's usually a domestic upload at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, and again at 1:00 p.m. Pacific. Though I agree it's unusual to see something up for only that brief period between the two.

FareCompare has an alert feature. It has not been the most reliable over the years, but when it works, it works great.

One thing to keep in mind is you either have to trust its logic (show me only X stars or better), or show all the fare drops, in which case you get not so great junk mixed in with the good stuff.

Jeez, would have bought a few at that price. The Mid-Atlantic transcons haven't been this good in months. But you can't catch them all -- especially when they only last a couple of hours!
