It appears that AS is moving to the new T-3 gates at LAS in late July. Our only lounge access was the UA club in terminal 1. Sad to lose this, but happy to be in the new terminal.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - LAS T-3 moveView Full Version : LAS T-3 move BOB W May 29, 12, 10:25 am It appears that AS is moving to the new T-3 gates at LAS in late July. UA is partially moving into T3 too [Just for ticketing, baggage claims, etc but will continue to use the D gates], so I am curious what will happen to that club, it is rather huge and very nice. I'll post in the UA forum and see if anybody knows more ;) IMO, the D gates is already very good as it is and I cannot imagine the new terminal will be that much better. Surely, it will have nicer ticketing counters, baggage claims, etc... The gate area and the concessions, I cannot imagine it will be much better... We will see in a month! hgdf May 29, 12, 12:08 pm It appears that AS is moving to the new T-3 gates at LAS in late July. Our only lounge access was the UA club in terminal 1. Sad to lose this, but happy to be in the new terminal. There will be an airside train connection from T3 to the D gates, so you should still be able to access the UC. hgdf May 29, 12, 12:22 pm M IMO, the D gates is already very good as it is and I cannot imagine the new terminal will be that much better. The D gates are fine, but the trip from the AS ticket counter, at the farthest corner of Terminal 1, to gate D26 feels like the incredible journey. I believe there's also supposed to be a new non-airline (Gideon?) lounge in T3. beckoa May 29, 12, 12:42 pm Maybe, maybe not, there is supposed to be a people mover that will connect Terminal 1 and 3 and I think it is supposed to be airside... Perhaps they'll have one that administers airline miles :D Mrp Alert May 29, 12, 5:59 pm I am curious how the car rental shuttle busses, and the public busses will work. Will you have to go back to terminal 1? All buses will stop at Terminal 3 just as they presently do with Terminals 1 & 2. T3 will be fully integrated with the D gates so lounge access will be a quick tram ride and walk to D30. The food service operator of the UA Club is also the operator for the T2 & new T3 club. They are working to make it a Priority Pass location, but I am not privy to the status of negotiations. There is a fun run preview of the terminal this coming weekend followed by launch on 6/27. |
