I got a new job and don't travel any longer so Mrs. Biosurfer1 and I decided to go out with a bang and spend all the skymiles I have. Thanks to the great posts here, I was able search and find 2 business class award tickets (SFO-CDG) through Air France's site and EF. Not only were they on the exact day's we wanted (next spring break) but Delta's website popped them right up at 100,000 miles after searching multi-city by schedule.

None of this would have ever happened without the skills I learned here and my family is still amazed I got them for $268 since I really didn't travel a whole lot at my old job, just maximized the sky miles I earned from knowledge here.

I was able to select my seats through AF's site but as one of my last posts on FT, I wanted to see which seats I should be looking for. Right now they are showing a 747-800 SFO-CDG and an A380 CDG-LAX on the return flight (stopover to visit family). I picked 2L & K on the 747 and 65L & K on the A380...any other suggestions on better seats?

Thanks again everyone for the help over the years!

The Flying Blue forum is a great place to look for AF/KL-operated config seat advice.

+1 I've sent message to the mods to relocate the thread.

Also, gotta be a 747-400 and not 747-8, since AF doesn't even have 747-8Is on order.

Correct, the 747-400, not sure where I got 800.

Thanks for moving!

You made great choices. 2K/L in the nose of the 747 s a very nice flying experience. And 65K/L in the A380 is a bulkhead seat row with a lot of space.
Enjoy ;)
