Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Problems with Expedia. Who to contact?
Hi,
I've requested a refund from Expedia of $250 over 3 weeks ago, which still hasn't come through yet. I'm trying to contact them, but their customer service representatives are a bunch of idiots who don't even read emails and just copy/paste template answers.
Is there any other contact phone except for Customer Support where I can call and ask them to sort this out, because Customer Service clearly aren't doing their job. I've also contacted my bank and VISA, and now they are awaiting for a simple e-mail from Expedia to investigate, which Expedia still can't do.
Any advice? Would really appreciate it. Its hard to deal with this because I'm not in US, if I would, I'd try to make them pay from this kind of irresponsibility.
Worst company I've ever dealt with so far.

There's little you can do other than wait. Most likely they will respond to your bank quicker than they will to you.
Though three weeks is not unusual for refunds

Try contacting them through their facebook page. I had good luck with this. I was contacted by a manager from their headquarters in Bellevue, WA.

Do you have the ability to challenge the transaction on your credit card? I know I always get responses from businesses when i have to go that route.

If you have online access to your account, you can usually just do it there.
The transaction usually has to appear on a statement before you challenge it... you will usually get an immediate credit... while the investigation continues.
I only recommend doing this if you know you are owed the refund... do not recommend false challenges.
If not allowed online, call the credit card company to see what their process is for you.

Looks like sorted.
Apparently, it can take up to 2 months for the refund to come through. I guess I'll contact them then, as I've got a feeling this won't happen :)

Thanks for this info. After calling Expedia 2x and on hold for more than 1.5 hrs without any sign to be cleared from the queue, I called the number and got someone from Las Vegas who handled my concern. ^

I tried to contact Expedia about a customer service issue. Eventually my wife called the corporate office in Washington state and spoke with an executive by the name of Malcolm. Within two minutes she was put on hold and remained there for 27 minutes before the line went dead. I would never deal with Expedia for any reason.
