Hi,
Apologies if I started a tread/topic that exists, but I have been trying to book today a 2 segments which ICC tells me is available, but when they try to book they inform me that they can't because it is WL (this is on SQ). I tried to check the availability on ANA and United (even going to the stage of being able to reserve it) and they are both available.
Any idea why this is the case? technical issue or lack of knowledge of staff? Called twice and had the same answer from both agents.
Cheers!
This used to be a semi-regular problem raised in the past with redemptions on SQ. In the past, these would become available in a 24-48 hour window, so it is a case of trying later today and then again tomorrow until it clears in to the inventory available to partners.
If it is the same problem as in the past, then it is a case of SQ opening up inventory to partners that shows up in the system before it is actually bookable, hence the delay. You just have to keep checking until it has cleared.

Thanks for the quick reply... a relief on one side, but also alarming on the other. I have seen this available for a couple of days already on both the above mentioned availability check, and till today it seems it has not been released. Since the clock is ticking this is getting close to the edge .. crossing my fingers now that the next time I call it becomes available.
Thanks again!
Cheers!
In which case they should be bookable any time soon. Definitely worth being persistent, especially with the deadline looming.
Good luck!

Another quick update. Just called the ICC to check on the flights and have been told that they are not seeing any availablility at all for SQ. Is this indicating that SQ is closing out their flights to DC?
Or a system glitch like TG?
Cheers!
Probably not closing as I just booked a SQ sector a couple of hours ago. In my case, I booked 1 seat and line was cut when trying to book second seat. Called back and was told the seat was gone. Persevered and kept calling back every 10 mins and the seat appeared again. Most likely it was grabbed by the agent and there is a lag before it shows up on the system again.
Good luck.

I have booked SQ flight 2 hours ago and it was bookable.
Now SQ flights are not bookable, I tried both via UK agent and via ICC agent.:(
UK agent told me that SQ is closing award availability to bmi as she could see the availability but it was not bookable.

Same situation always with SQ flights.
Married segments. Connecting segments , inventory control etc.
SQ ultimately controls your connection. I tried to book BKK-SIN on one day an then onwards to MNL a few days later. It's available but flight cannot be confirmed. Okay, cancel SQ flight and booked TG instead. Miraculously SQ flight to MNL now available.
Also had existing booking... CDG-x/SIN-BKK. Wanted earlier SQ flight fom SIN to BKK. Not possible even ANA says ok. Basically one must cancel entire booking before SQ will show availability. So ended booking .... Yep, TG instead!
