EL AL Matmid - Concerned about El Al representation here

Hello,

Since it was deemed off-topic in another thread, I will start one specifically here. It would be nice if El Al could provide reasonable customer service all-around, but if they are going to provide a rep here on FlyerTalk, it would be nice if they could respond to complaints and advocate for passengers at least as well as they respond to cheerleader posts.

El Al could learn a lesson from the other airline representatives on other forums here at FlyerTalk.

If we are only going to have El Al representation here to stroke El Al's ego, I'd rather not have it. That's my personal opinion - hopefully I've found the right location for it.

I think it's fair to say though that the LY forum is not very active in itself so expecting the same resource level from LY on here as is available on the Swiss or BA forums would be unreasonable. Still the chord this thread hits is just right - only responding in a meaningful way to positive remarks is a trait of LY in general - not just on this thread.

I am finding that more and more businesses have "social media" folk. Part of their job is to monitor sites like this and respond as needed. I am sure the LY rep. isn't doing it out of the goodness of his heart but as part of a job description and I agree, he/she should be more active.

I sent a PM around the end of april in regards to an issue..she got back to be in 24 hours, but I had already resolved the issue.

She mentioned that at the time that she is more available via facebook..(so if your into that, you can try that).

WEll, if she is on FB she is only showing she is online. For various reasons many choose not to go onto FB where your name is shown.For example, I would have to have suddenly turned stupid if I was to ask a question about my flight on JUne 5. ( not real) I have a listed phone number and would rather not announce to the thousands with access to the page that my home will be empty on that day)
