having trouble with EI booking engine. Found a fare from bcn-jfk-ams for as low as $258USD but the booking engine stops after i enter all my personal information. anybody have any experience with their website recently

The booking engine worked fine for me today. But if you've got the website to show US dollar prices for this routing, then you've managed to do something unusual - it should be priced in Euros.

Something odd today. Looked at DUB-MCO-DUB outbound 10 Jul, inbound 28 Jul. All in €393 which is more than 50% than it was last week.
