Etihad Airways Etihad Guest - EY slipping, slipping ... limo not there

Arriving at FRA airport, no chauffeur waiting for me. I am surprised since I had ordered the chauffeur through the website, both for my DXB to AUH pickup and the FRA to destination delivery. The pickup in Dubai worked just fine, but now there is noone in FRA.

I call EY. She looks into my reservation:
- "Oh, it is unconfirmed."
- "So why didn't anyone inform me that there are issues?"
- "Don;t know. But go to the EY counter, they have chauffeurs waiting there" (yeah, right, a fleet of drivers hanging around in FRA ...)

Of course the EY counter is still closed in the early morning hours, so sitting in a public cab right now.

Slippage everywhere ...

When you booked did you get email confirmation? Did you receive a confirmation call 48 hours prior?

These are two ways to know that your reservation is all OK. Agree someone should call you if not, but I've found entering details online that the system doesn't pick up lots of addresses so I often call up to confirm.

Next time I will do that. I got a call for the UAE pickup, so I assumed that the FRA limo ride would also work (I ordered it in the same transaction). Also, I had never before received a call for limo rides originating at the airport (only for those originating at a residential address) - so I was not surprised this time when noone called.
