What should my soon to be wife's bridesmaid expect for a wait time at OGG on a Saturday night flight departing at 10:50 PM? She will check a bag and has to leave the night of the wedding, so I will be providing a ride for her to the airport. We just want to keep her at the wedding as long as possible. She is departing United at 10:50 PM with checked baggage Date is 6/16/12.

I'd suggest at least 90 minutes lead time. You have agricultural inspec. first (pretty quick) & then waiting in line to check luggage (unless you have a Red Cap handle it).

And security at OGG can be very slow.

And security at OGG can be very slow.
At 11 p.m., security should take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on how many lanes TSA has open. Usually, when it's slower, they will only have two baggage scanning lanes funneling into one body scanner lane. So budget that. Also, note that UA has a 45 minute cut-off for bags at OGG.

I often get to OGG about 60 minutes prior to my HA departure (without any checked bags) and get to the gate with about 20-30 minutes to spare. But with a Mainland departure, I'd budget 75-90 minutes, with 75 pushing it depending on the TSA lines.

This advice is spot on.
