Hi everyone,

next week I will have a transit in FCO from US flight to Italian Domestic flight with Alitalia.

As I wish to meet a friend who is from Rome, is it possible to reach Terminal 1 Arrivals Area from B Gates?

My plan was to do the transit airside and than go landside from B gates: in your opinion is it feasible?

Thank you very much for your advice

B Gates = Terminal 1, airside

Transit is (supposed to be) airside.
US = T3, so the transit is T3>T1.
You can exit the transit area as soon as you reach the Schengen side of the T3, or you can keep walking, get to the T1 - you'll see a Bulgari store, that's where the B Gates begin - then walk downstairs. T3 and T1 departures are better than T1 arrivals.

Yes it was what I wanted to say.

Thanks for your help! But my friend doesn't have a ticket. When I go downstairs after Bulgari is that a public area with free access?

No no I'm sorry. Not wifi area but unrestricted area where everyone can get in without any ticket.

Sorry, 'deformazione professionale' :D

Yes, I mean, when you go downstairs you are actually exiting the airside area.
