Has anyone else noticed that apparently Fairmont reservations have recently been outsourced to gaggle of twelve year olds:rolleyes:

I've made numerous new reservations recently, through what is being respresented as the President's Club line (NOT), as well as the general Fairmont reservation number. WHAT happened to the fabulous Fairmont reservation agents?? I certainly hope that they were not the victims of cuts or downsizing:(.

EGs On hold for twelve minutes today because "Racheal" is "new" and needed to get some assistance from her equally inexperience and incompetent sixteen year old supervisor. Platinum concierge has to seek "addition info" from her supervisor. That's a first. Plat concierges used to have decision making ability (and common sense).

I've seen more than enough and will be phoning the properties directly before that bulging vein in my forehead finally blows. I love Fairmont far too much to let the new children in reservations turn me off the chain completely. Not a good move Fairmont, and no, I don't want fries with that :eek:

Hmm, I would be interested in knowing what's going on, too, if anything.

I spoke with someone there a couple of weeks ago regarding a screwup on certificates redeemed for our recent stay at Montreux and it has yet to be rectified. I have been having some doubts, as a result, as to the quality of service as well.

Mrs Penner - I called the Plat number for reservations today and got one of the usual agents - request handled as efficiently as usual. Let's hope your experience was a "one off" situation.
