Singapore, 22 May 2012 - The highly anticipated Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) at Marina South is set to welcome its first ship, Royal Caribbean International's 138,000-tonne Voyager of the Seas, as it docks for the very first time in Singapore on 26 May 2012. The ship, with a capacity of 3,840 passengers and 1,176 crew, is the largest ever to homeport in Singapore, and will pave the way for the newer generation of larger cruise liners to dock in Singapore and Asia, including Oasis- Class ships.

Hopefully, this will bring about better (and more luxurious!) cruises to stopover at Singapore. I just went on a 2-night Star Cruises (http://www.starcruises.com) trip on Superstar Virgo earlier in May. Let's just say that the trip was a little .. underwhelming. Would post a trip report here if I have the time :p
