Anyone know if there are plans to open a lounge available to star gold members in Terminal 2 in Dublin? There is a contract lounge in Terminal 1, but it is not convenient given the need to clear security, US customs, and US immigration in Terminal 2 following one's return from the Terminal 1 lounge.

Rather unlikely. DUB is not a *A hub, although it's served by good number of *A carriers. But for most of them it's not a destination with a lot of premium customers. For instance, I remember occasions where the LX flight operated with 0 (zero) pax in C ... What makes things further complicated is the pre-clearance for the flights to the US. A *A lounge after US immigration would not serve the european carriers, one before US immigration would not serve the flights to the US ...

I was their when BMI was still *A, and was able to use the lounge on a BMI operated / UA flight in March 2012.
I did notice that their was a contract lounge (Priority I think) opposite the BD Diamond Club. I would *like* to think that now that BMI is outside of S* that you should be able to go there, but have no knowladge if this is the case or not.
The BMI lounge is closed at DUB. I was flying SAS to ARN yesterday, and was able to use the DAA Lounge across the hallway. However UA is not listed on the door as an airline that can use this lounge. Does anyone know if UA *G can use the Aer Lingus lounge in T2?
UA C class pax and Plats are given lounge invites for the T2 lounge. I assume UA *G's also get this.
The DAA lounge is poor though - similar in offering to the T1 lounge
Thanks!
Yeah, the DAA lounge was GRIM.

Is there any lounge I can use as *Gold flying LH Y from Dublin. Staralliance.com seems to say no so I guess I have no reason to not believe that, do I?
