Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Self-upgrader handled well

Last week to BUD. I was operationally upgraded at the gate. There was one seat open in C and another pax appeared and sat down in it just before door closed. After t/o the purser returned and asked him politely for his BP. Turned out, he was still assigned in Y and was self-upgraded. Politely but firmly she instructed him to return to his Y seat. No further issues.

So, on the old style A320 the C seat is no great shakes but I like the TK onboard service and food. A nice trip.
