I searched this thread & did not find answers to my question........
Any FT's have experience volunteering to give up their seat and take a flight credit on a MR? Is the compensation always a $300 flight credit? Does the airline agree to re-book all other segments w/o a change fee? What is the best strategy for maximizing chances of being offered a credit? e.g. late check-in?
I recently completed an MR : EWR-DEN-TUS-LAX-EWR on UA. 1st segment was oversold and was asked if I was willing to give up my seat. I was, but in the end they not need it!:( What a pity! :( (It would have paid for the MR!)
Thanks in advance for suggestions!
