I feel like I have to redeem myself after the previous embarrassment a couple of weeks ago. Leaving Wednesday prior to Labor day and flying back on Sunday, I have found $143 roundtrip (United (via IAH) to LAS and return on Southwest (nonstop)) and $149 rountrip (United both ways--via IAH both ways). Also, $120 roundtrip leaving Thursday on Delta (via Atlanta) and coming back Sunday on Southwest (nonstop). Should be 3 cents per mile assuming I calculated correctly. That is extremely cheap to fly to Vegas--wish I could take advantage of it.

I see some discounted fares in that market, but you seem to be mistaking ONE-WAY fares for ROUNDTRIP fares. No? Cheapest ow fares I see on ita are $120. Are you finding anything better than this?

It looks like the United Roundtrip is gone--but United one way and Southwest back are still there--have to book in separate trips. 8/29 on United then 9/2 on Southwest.

I can't find it now...I found it through Kayak originally.

Still pretty good at $120 o/w. Hard to find anything under $150 o/w to west coast these days.

Yeah, $120 ow is about the lowest I've seen lately on these transcon junk fares out of BWI. A couple of months ago, I bought them for $59+. I'm guessing you can't go for that low this summer, as there's probably a mandatory peak-day surcharge. For fall travel, I'm prepared to wait for possible better deals. Of course, if you're on a tight schedule and there's a flight you really want for $120, it's a good deal.
