Alitalia MilleMiglia - Standby on a reward flight?

I booked a reward flight from JFK to fco this coming Tuesday in business class. The flight departs at 9:30 pm but I would rather take the earlier flight but there are no reward seats avail in business. Does anyone know if Alitalia would allow me to standby for the earlier flight at the airport?

I very much doubt it.. When I tried on a LIN - LHR they asked me to call MM etc..
Unless they are overbooked on the later departure that is..

I too think it will be a no. Of course, award seats might become available nearer the date so it may be worth checking regularly.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been checking on expert flyer regularly but no luck. Its only age hrs different so no big deal. Thanks anyway.
