Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - reversing FF credit to incorrect program

I flew SQ this week SFO-ICN in J. I had my US*G number in as the FQTV, but asked the agent at check-in to remove *all the ff numbers*. He said this was done, and I continued along my merry way. The reason I didn't have a new FF program entered, is I am trying to juggle my NZ/UA status earnings based on my next few flights.

I have returned, and was about to submit my BP to UA, but happened to check my US account, and it appears the miles were credited there.

I assume if I send the mileage request to UA it will be rejected, is there anyway to work with SQ/US to reverse this? The EQM at issue are 8470 for the segment, so significant enough to go through some inconvenience on the way to regaining UA status.

Posted in SQ forum, since I assume SQ will be the rejecting/paying airline on this to US/UA.

What shows on your BP? If it shows nothing, than I would just mail/fax it to UA. If it shows US, than it may be tough as the system shows that you intended to credit to US. You need to get US to reverse it, if US is willing to reverse it, than get it re-credited to UA.

Yes I've done it but that is when the boarding pass shows the correct ff number but it posted to the wrong ff.

So it is important to see what your boarding pass says. If it is blank then you have a pretty good chance but it does take a few weeks.

I contacted SQ and they told me to send feedback via the website. No response as yet, anybody know how long it takes to hear back?

I've had credits from a SQ flight wrongly credited to my Krisflyer account reversed, then claim miles from the other FFP side. All these with my Krisflyer account printed on the boarding pass, realized after boarding pass was printed, then had the check in counter change it for me.
