Delta told me I am cleared through them. Will it work if I am flying on Alaska?

To use the airport pre check lines a person needs to either

A - Have been invited by an airline

B - A member of one of the trusted traveler programs NEXUS/ SENTRI/ GLOBAL ENTRY

If you qualified via option A, you are only able to use the lane if flying on the same airline that invited you.

If you qualified through option B, simply enter your PASSID in the "known traveler number" field in passenger information on the airline's site. This works for any airline participating in pre check.

Note that pre check is only designated for certain airlines at certain airports, AS @ SEA for example. Though I have made it through with another airline (DL @ SEA pre check line), it is hit and miss.

No it won't.

It is airline specific.

Thanks. Any suggestions to get AS to invite me since I am TSA acceptable? 15 years in a row as gold and 600,000 lifetime miles.

Are you currently a Gold? If so, they sent out the invitation emails back in February and again in March (I think). Otherwise, the only way to become eligible to use Pre-Check is to get GE/NEXUS. This will make you eligible to use it on any airline that supports Pre-Check, like DL.

Not all Golds got the invite (me for example). GE FTW!

This is the definitive list. For some reason, only AS and AA can use SEA's lane. PDX is good to go with all three airlines.

However if he is pre check authorized via Delta flying and flying on an AS ticket I don't think the precheck transfers over.

I flew Delta 4-5 times with my AS number and have never gotten the triple beep.

Technically if TSA allowed Delta elite to scan their boarding pass it should work. There were reports on here of AS elites getting through pre-check in ORD prior to SEA, AS first pre-check station opening up.

I know of an Alaska MVP Gold who got through pre-check at LAS today although it's not on the TSA's list

It worked for me like that at SEA. I used my GE card to get into the pre check line, and then asked the TSA agent to scan my boarding pass, despite it being DL. The agent was reluctant, however, it worked.

Is it the airline or tsa that is trying to keep the program exclusive to a specific airline at the airport? Seems like at SEA, since all the security checkpoints lead to the same place, it shouldn't matter, nor should TSA care which airline.

I am MVP Gold (got the invite in February) and I also got to go through PreCheck at LAS last week.
