I am not sure if this is the right place to post but I'll be heading to HK for a two-three weeks in september (already have a free place to stay) and wanted to know the best card to use to book the flight.
I have AmEx premier rewards as my frequent use card (and also have basic chase cars like ultimate rewards) but haven't traveled long hauls in a while so wasn't sure if it made sense to look into getting another card (either amex or other) that will give more benefits.
appreciate the help in advance.

hey amex PRG card gives 3x points for air. i would probably book the airfare using that card, but wouldn't use it while i'm over there considering it has forex fees.
i would bring a few no-forex fee cards with me just in case certain cards aren't accepted at the merchants you visit. AMEX/MC/VISA/Discover. yes i just said discover. they are known to be more widely accepted in asia.

+1 for PRG.
I have the AMEX PLAT for no forex though.
(The other card I have, Visa Infinite Avion has chip though so I can use it in Europe.)
I used to have Voyages+ but I cancelled it now that Tim Hortons accepts Visa.

PRG is probably your best bet to book the flight for the rewards. That is the one I use for mine, and use the Plat overseas to avoid the forex. though we travel mostly to europe, never asia.
