I qualified for A+ status a month ago but when I sign in it says "Current Tier Status: A-List Preferred until 12/31/2012 ". Shouldn't it be through 12/31/2013 since I qualified in 2012?

Same here. They work on the 1 year at a time schedule, so they won't update until the end of this year.

Its also the same for CP because I re-qualified for next year in April but still shows my current CP expires at the end of this year.

I signed up with the personal 50k card, plus 4 paid one ways and the rest was biz card spending. I wanted to knock it out early to move to other cards. It helps that I have a lot of biz spend in Dec so when my statement rolled over on Jan 7th I was over 25% of the way there.
If someone does not have the personal or business cards they could do it in less than a month if they planned it right with both 50k bonus and $10k spending.
