They used to fly SAS codeshares to regional airports, I have two legs coming up tomorrow and Thursday. Ticketstock is SAS (with SAS legs in between). Any idea what to expect from SAS? Skyways was the only airline serving my connection so rebooking is not really an option.

Not sure, but di.se writes SK won't fly Skyway (JZ) routes, but the article is ambigious in that it could mean they won't take over long term.

Yes, no way SAS will take over the regional routes. Someone most likely will in the long run, at least the high yield routes.

Yup. Got a full refund for my GOT-PRG flight in late June, since my travel dates were fixed and no SK flights on Sundays (otherwise they could have provided rebooking with SK flight alternatives). Good thing that I booked on the SK website and had a 117 ticket number I guess?

Also noted that for domestic destinations, the Swedish railroad company SJ today offers free train rides to and from those destinations:

Sorry, only Swedish from the SJ Facebook page:

Going for a refund as well. Guess should be happy I found out the day before and not at the airport like others this morning.

Sverigeflyg will take over VBY-ARN, HAD-ARN, HAD-BMA and VXO-ARN soon, they are negotiating with Nextjet, Golden Air and Malmö Aviation for operating the flights.

In addition, I read that there has been talk that Ryanair might take over some of the routes. How about in the Independent stating that "between Manchester and Gothenburg, with the route being particularly popular with business executives." I wonder what the alternative will be, more focus on London?

I know its a mute point but how would this hold up? Say I booked HLD-ARN-XXX via SAS.se and hold a SK/117 ticket. Now SAS rebooks me to GOT/MMX. Is it really my concern who SAS outsources the first leg to?

I wonder how many airports are now left with no regularly scheduled service. KSD, for one. I tried looking at Direktflyg's timetable, but I cannot find any flights to BMA or OSL. And, technically, FR's KSD-GRO flight is still considered seasonal (which, unfortunately, it appears I'll be taking this July); and it also appears to be the only airline utilizing the airport in July.

I miss the days of SK's 737 service.
